FAQ
Welcome to the Bellevue Apprenticeships FAQ page. You can find answers to some of the most frequently asked questions about our apprenticeship courses. We aim to provide you with the information you need to make informed decisions about your apprenticeship journey. You can reach out to our team for assistance if you have any additional questions.
- Will I be able to undertake this apprenticeship on top of my daily workload?
Yes, the apprenticeships that we offer will be able to be conducted during your working week and will complement the roles that you already undertake. You will learn new skills, knowledge and behaviours (KSBs) that you will be able to put into practice during the course, in your own school. You will be given time to access the taught content and learning guides, as well as support with how to log Off The Job Training hours.
- Are the Apprenticeship Courses funded?
Yes, the course is fully funded through your employer’s Apprenticeship Levy, so there are no direct costs to you.
- What happens if I leave part way through the apprenticeship?
Because we are approved as a Main Provider, which means we can run apprenticeships for people outside our organisation, as long as your new role is a comparable role that will allow you to continue to develop the skills you require and your new employer allows you the time to undertake the apprenticeship, you will be able to continue and complete it. There will be no cost to you for this.
- What happens if I leave the school after completing the apprenticeship? Will I have to pay it back?
You will not have to pay back any apprenticeship funding, if you complete the course and then move roles to another school or company. Obviously, we are keen to keep great staff, but if up skilling means career progression, we wholeheartedly support it.
- What happens if I don’t complete the course?
Our aim is for everyone to complete the course and we will have some flexibility in how we can support you in achieving this. There may also be times where you need to extend your Gateway and your End Point Assessment, which we can explain, should that be required.
- Can I complete the course sooner?
In some cases, yes. This is where your current level of skills, knowledge and behaviours from prior experience are deemed to already be able to demonstrate some of the criteria required to complete the apprenticeship. In those cases, we would discuss this with you, following your self assessment.
- I’m taking on a new role; can I manage an apprenticeship alongside this?
There will be a level of commitment required to acquiring and practising new KSBs and therefore, you do need to consider if it is the right time to begin a new course. However, you may find that the KSBs complement your new role and will be extremely useful in fulfilling that role effectively.
- What if I don’t have Maths or English relevant qualifications or I can’t find my certificate?
We can support you in gaining the relevant qualifications that you need, once you decide which would be most appropriate and manageable to run alongside your apprenticeship. If you can’t find a certificate, you can contact the relevant exam board. You will need to provide evidence.
