was inspected by the Independent School Inspectorate (ISI) in November 2019 and has been awarded the grade of “Excellent” across the board. This is the highest grade a school can be awarded under the ISI Inspection scheme.

Key findings summarise that:

  • The quality of the pupils’ academic and other achievements is EXCELLENT
  • The quality of the pupils’ personal development is EXCELLENT

The report notes that pupils “develop highly positive attitudes to learning and enthusiastically embrace opportunities to acquire new skills and knowledge”, “are confident communicators with excellent speaking and listening skills”, and “are highly successful in gaining entry to their senior school of choice, with a very large majority securing places at state grammar schools and local independent schools.”

It also makes reference to pupils’ “mature and well-informed sense of how to look after their physical and mental well-being and states they “develop high levels of confidence and perseverance, unequivocally espousing the school motto, ‘I Can and I Will’.”

Headteacher, Nick Tucker, was delighted with the results of the recent inspection.

“We are thrilled with the results of our latest ISI inspection, which is a true testament to the commitment and enthusiasm of all our staff and pupils.

“We are committed to ensuring that every child has the best start in their learning lives, preparing them to thrive in education and beyond. We want to instill an attitude that each pupil can and will achieve, and I am delighted that this is reflected in the inspector’s comments.”
