Pupils, staff and parents at Edenhurst Preparatory School in Staffordshire are celebrating, after receiving their latest inspection results.
The co-educational, independent school underwent a Regulatory Compliance and EYFS inspection by the Independent Schools Inspectorate (ISI), in October. ISI Inspectors operate under the Ofsted framework, approved by the Department for Education. The duration process was extended to a week to allow inspectors to fully scrutinise evidence and make an informed judgement regarding the school, whilst adhering to Covid-19 protocols.
Since the school’s last inspection in 2017 the Framework has been updated at the bar significantly raised. According to the report, the quality and standards of the Early Years provision is “Outstanding” in all areas. Inspectors noted “All children are extremely happy and feel safe and secure. Dedicated staff form warm and caring relationships with all the children in the room and new children settle rapidly as a result” and “Children are extremely well prepared for the next stage of their education. Transitions are managed carefully to ensure children move seamlessly from one room to the next.” The inspection team also scrutinised all aspects of the school’s compliance to safeguarding and other regulations, judging the school to be fully compliant in all areas.
Edenhurst Preparatory School currently has 207 pupils and welcomes children from the ages of three months to eleven years.
Head Teacher, Mr Michael Hibbert, was delighted with the results of the recent inspection.
“This inspection simply validates the work we do at school on a daily basis. This is a school that genuinely places children and their needs first. I am delighted that the inspection team was able to see and comment on this. We are extremely proud of our school and to have our staff’s dedication and care praised so highly by a team of experts is truly wonderful. “
