Zoe ealingWe are delighted to welcome Zoe Jarvis as the new Principal of Ealing Independent College, starting in September 2025.

Zoe brings extensive leadership experience from independent schools across London and the South East. Most recently serving as Deputy Head (Academic) at Ibstock Place School and previously as Assistant Head at Tormead School.

With a strong commercial background, Zoe has a strategic mindset and a forward-thinking approach to education. She is passionate about ensuring schools anticipate and meet the evolving needs of students and parents. She believes that strong relationships are key to fostering an ambitious, innovative learning environment where both students and staff thrive.

Zoe’s leadership is deeply rooted in collaboration and community-building. She has worked closely with students, parents, and staff to shape school initiatives and values student independence as a cornerstone of academic success.

Zoe shared her excitement about joining Ealing Independent College:

“I am thrilled to be joining Ealing Independent College and am excited by the opportunity to work alongside such a dedicated team of educators and inspiring young people. It was a pleasure to meet teachers and students as part of the recruitment process and to be introduced to this remarkable community.  I believe in the thoughtful and aspirational development of individual strengths and I can see that Ealing, with its genuinely student-centred approach and small class sizes, provides an ideal environment to inspire and fulfil the best of ambitions.

I look forward to continuing to build on the successes that Allan has embedded, ensuring that every pupil is challenged, supported, and given the tools to flourish. I am eager to meet the wider school community and work together to shape the next stage of Ealing’s journey.”

Outside of her professional life, Zoe enjoys countryside walks, traveling in her campervan, and spending time with her family. She has a passion for design and architecture, and is particularly interested in how interior spaces can support wellbeing and be inspirational.

In the coming months, Zoe will be visiting the College to meet with staff, students, and families, ensuring a smooth transition into her new role.

Zoe will take over from Allan Cairns, who has been a valued member of the College for the past decade—first as a teacher, then as part of the leadership team, and most recently as Principal since 2020. Allan has led the school with dedication, resilience, and a forward-thinking approach, driving continuous innovation and progress. As he looks ahead to the rest of the academic year, he does so with confidence, knowing that his successor will continue to build on his achievements.

We look forward to welcoming Zoe to Ealing Independent College and to the Bellevue family!
