Norfolk House appoints new headteacher

News

Norfolk House, part of the Bellevue group of 21 schools across the UK, Switzerland and France, has appointed its new headteacher Tej Lander, who is due to join the school in September 2022.

Tej is currently the Senior Deputy Head of the Prep School at Forest School London, being successful in a field that included strong representation from top schools in the local area and nationally. Tej is an accomplished and experienced educational leader, who is passionate about the ethos and identity of Norfolk House School, with a great depth of knowledge and experience in secondary education, including involvement with the 11+ selection process for Forest School.

Tej comments on his new appointment: “From my very first visit, the welcoming, supportive yet purposeful and learning-focused atmosphere at Norfolk House was immediately palpable. Norfolk House’s values and aims are ones that resonate profoundly with me. Those who teach the youngest need to be the most far-sighted and my overriding aim will be to ensure that Norfolk House provides pupils with the skills, knowledge and understanding that will most advantage them in the world in which they will grow up. I am eager to join you all on this journey and I look forward to getting to know you all in the months and years ahead”.

Bellevue Education Director Steven Wade also comments: “Tej has shown great respect for the school’s ethos and values throughout the process, with an intensive knowledge of the area, communities and the opportunities available in Norfolk House School. I am delighted to have appointed Tej and excited to see his attitude and appreciation for the school in motion.”

Tej will succeed Paul Jowett, who has served as headteacher for six years.
