“We have been absolutely delighted to find a school that really focuses on the individual child and responds to their needs and what’s really important. Already our son is like a new person, engaged in learning once again and feeling valued. The environment is so intimate and class sizes so small that the whole learning experience is enhanced, nurturing and calm. I only wished we’d discovered the school earlier!”

Head's welcome

Welcome to Ealing Independent College, ideally located in one of the nicest parts of West London in the heart of Ealing.

The College offers a friendly and personalised learning environment with small class sizes, where students have a strong support system in place, both through the teachers as well as their peers. The learning extends beyond the classrooms, with a selection of clubs and societies available to enrich and enhance the College experience.

Ealing Independent College is a wonderful place to learn and grow, supported by passionate and dedicated staff who ensure each and every student reaches his or her potential and leaves with grades and university destinations that they could only have dreamed of.

With an average class size of eight, it gives our staff the chance to fully understand each individual student – to get to know how they best make progress – and to make a bespoke learning programme for them, geared towards ensuring that they perform to the very best of their abilities.

I am delighted to have taken up the position of Principal this year. The six years which I have spent at Ealing have been immensely enjoyable, and through my positions as Head of GCSE and Humanities, Director of Studies and Vice Principal, I have come to know the College and its workings intimately. It has been a pleasure to have been involved in the development of the College to this point, and I’m excited about what can be achieved in the future.

I believe passionately that students will thrive and make excellent progress when they feel safe and secure within a strong context of high standards and expectations. The wellbeing of students at the College is paramount. The school’s ethos and vision is based around embracing the individuality of each student, valuing their contributions inside and outside the classroom and encouraging them through outstanding teaching in small groups and excellent pastoral care so that they can truly flourish as individuals.

A History of teaching the individual

Ealing Independent College was established as a tutorial college in 1992, specialising in preparing students for entry into Medicine and Dentistry. Through building strong links with leading Medical schools and ensuring a focused learning approach, the College successfully placed students into their first choice universities and on the path to successful careers.

Since then the College has evolved, and has for over 17 years provided complete GCSE and A-Level programmes for students from the age of 13 to 19, offering a wide range of subjects within Sciences, Maths, Humanities, Social Sciences and Languages. Through our bespoke learning programme, small class sizes and strong links with leading Russell Group universities across the country, we ensure a clear pathway for all of our students to reach their academic goals.

At its core, the College has always stayed true to providing a focused tutorial based learning environment, set within a friendly college community with dedicated staff who support and encourage students to achieve their best.

Located in one of the nicest parts of West London, Ealing Independent College has established itself as a leading college with consistently strong academic results and impressive individual student performances. Students go on to top universities across the country and abroad each year, and we are incredibly proud of the success they achieve and the careers they have embarked upon.
